Munchen!!

The day finally came where I arrived in Munich! I have called Munich 'home' for nearly two weeks now. During those two weeks I have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions as I run through the notions of moving to a new place, looking for work, finding housing etc etc - all with a big fat language barrier! Tricky stuff.

Doing a lot of these mundane things, means that I have spent a great deal of time in front of a computer screen, therefore, not much photography occurring, however I will share with you what little I have managed to capture thus far, and like myself, you will just have to wait for the rest of the adventures that await me in Munich!

The gates to the city

Marienplatz

The Glockenspiel

Of course my favourite parts of Munich thus far are all about the food!

Pretzels!

Fresh produce at the markets

I am told a trip to Munich isn't complete until you try out the local Bratwurst and beer at the markets.

Enjoy your day!

All in the details

During our stay in Dubai I couldn't help but admire the small details in everything. There was an incredible tapestry of patterns, and textures throughout the city.

A design carved into a bridge underpass

Tiling in a fountain

Pottery and weaving at the museum

Everywhere you looked there was something to catch your eye and appreciate the beauty.

Dubai Dhow Cruise

One of the last things we managed to do in Dubai was to go on a 'traditional' Dhow cruise around the city. What we saw was as follows......................................

Desert Safari

I succumbed to being a real tourist and partook in a Desert Safari during our time in Duabi. In keeping in contact with everyone back home, I was letting people know what we were up to, and typing that we had planned a 'Dessert Safari' - My subconsious obviously screaming out my true passion here - dessert!!!

Here is a visual feast of our Desert Safari......

The meeting point

Sandboarding......................well, attempting to.

 Camel rides

 Kicking back

Surrounded by beautiful lighting

The incredible spinning man!

Sorry for the delay in getting this published - I have only just reconnected to the world via Wifi - Oh how I have missed it!
Enjoy the post!
